Following a successful launch of commercial flights to Nairobi, Mogadishu, Juba, Dar es Salaam, Bujumbura is now the 5th official destination to which Uganda Airlines flies.
The Bujumbura [Burundi] destination was launched on Monday.
The national carrier is yet to also launch more commercial flights to Kilimanjaro and Mombasa.
According to Uganda National Airlines Company Limited technical director, Conwell Muleya, Uganda Airlines flying to Burundi is a great milestone in the development of the country and building relations with other countries.
It’s been a month since Uganda Airlines commenced commercial operations with direct flights to four destinations out of their hub in Entebbe.
Mr Muleya says, “it’s been an exciting experience thus far & we look forward to serving the region with timely services.”
He said Uganda airlines is glad to be joining it’s partners like Ethiopia airways, Kenya airways, Rwanda air and Air Tanzania in providing uninterrupted services.
