Gen Muhoozi’s PLU Fires Back at Rwabwogo’s ‘Discliples’
The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has vowed to “push back” against attacks by so-called ‘disciples’ of Presidential advisor Odrek Rwabwogo.
PLU’s chairman, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba this past weekend described Rwabwogo as the “biggest thief” in Uganda, wondering why President Museveni would take pictures with him.
Moments later, the ‘Disciples of Odrek Rwabwogo’ issued a statement, saying Gen Muhoozi’s remarks were motivated by envy and were a “project of intrigue enforced by an irrational coward suffering from extreme sense of entitlement”.
In a statement today, PLU said, “Together with his huge army of supporters this humiliation will be fiercely pushed back. Let all and Sundry be notified accordingly.”
PLU today said claims by Rwabwogo’s ‘disciples’ “are inherently inaccurate, wholly unfounded and are lacking in content. As PLU, we want to assure every good meaning Ugandan to treat them as baseless, ungrounded, unsubstantiated, immature and childish.”
PLU’s statement added: “The public is encouraged to shun, with utmost contempt, the inaccuracies vended by selfish individuals about the character of Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.”
The latest development underscores a major escalation in the rift between Muhoozi and Rwabwogo.
